About Tonight.hockey
Tonight.hockey is an independent fan site that answers one question for every NHL team, every night: is my team playing, when, on which channel, and what does tonight mean for its playoff chances? It is not affiliated with the NHL or any of its teams.
What the site does
- Tonight’s games with start times in your time zone, US and Canadian TV channels and likely goalies.
- A page for each of the 32 clubs with its next game, record, schedule and playoff odds.
- The playoff picture: standings, wild cards and every team’s odds from 10,000 simulated seasons, plus who to root for in tonight’s other games.
- Hockey 101: plain-English guides to the rules, the season and the league.
Where the data comes from
Schedules, scores, standings, TV listings and player stats come from the NHL’s public data feeds. We rebuild records from official results and refresh pages through the day. Playoff odds are our own model, documented in full on the methodology page.
We do not invent numbers. If a fact is not in the NHL’s data or confirmed by hand, it is left out, and facts we checked by hand say when they were checked. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
Not affiliated with the NHL
Tonight.hockey is an independent project. NHL, the NHL Shield, team names and logos are trademarks of the NHL and its teams. Team logos appear only to identify teams, never on products we sell.
How the site is paid for
There are no accounts and no ads that track you. The site is supported by our shop of original hockey designs, with payments handled by Stripe. See the privacy policy and terms.
