Privacy policy

The short version: no accounts, no tracking cookies, no ad networks. We count visits with cookieless analytics, your browser remembers a couple of settings for you, and if you buy something, Stripe handles the payment.

No accounts

You do not sign up for Tonight.hockey, so we hold no profile, password or email list about you.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not use local storage for tracking and does not fingerprint your device. It tells us things like which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from, in aggregate.

What your browser stores

Two features save small settings in your browser’s localStorage, on your device only. They are never sent to us:

• My team: the club you follow, so the header can link straight to it.
• Game streaks: today’s game and your stats and streak in Puck of the Day.

Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

Payments

Purchases in our shop are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. Stripe gives us what we need to fulfil the order, such as your email, your shipping address for physical items and what you bought, and we use it only for that order. Stripe’s own privacy policy covers how it handles payment data.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and the page requested) to run and protect the site. We do not use them to build profiles.

Third parties

Pages load no third-party scripts, ads or social widgets. Share buttons are plain links: nothing is sent to a social network unless you choose to share.

Children

The site is for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes and contact
